The Multiplayer Marathon is an effort of the gaming community and the power Hour to raise awareness and funds for the noble Child's Play Charity, which works to provide toys, games, books and cash for sick children in hospitals across the globe.Beginning Saturday morning on November 8th, participating broadcasters and gamers will be playing only multiplayer games for 36 hours straight. So far Xbox Live members have helped support this fundraiser in raising over $1200 in donations. With only 87 of the potential donors joining the Heroes list for the power of 360, this effort could raise well over the projected goal of $2200.

Lionhead, Rare, and NinjaBee have donated some pretty awesome items for some of the lucky Heroes, just to name a few. It's a really great show of support from the Gaming Companies, Communities, and Xbox Live gamers for this cause.
